Boys vs Girls

It all happened on a beautiful sunny day, Room 6 decided to play cricket. It was Boys vs Girls, with 5 minutes to go the boys were winning by one point! Then a couple minutes later the were winning! The boys were in big trouble until I walked up to the pitch, I smashed it  when I was out I
had scored 8 points for boys it was 28 for the and 31 to the girls. The last batter was Joshua Linton he smashed it and it was a four that means the boys bet the girls by one point!

The Dog

On a beautiful sunny day my sister saw a dog sitting by my Dad's car . The dog had a broken chain connected to him.  We walked down the road to look for the person that owned it sadly we could not find the one who owned the poor little dog. It  looked really hungry. He was so hungry and thirsty that he drunk three full bowls of  fresh water. We kept it at our house for a little while. We finally found the dog's owner it was next doors dog.

Going to the Races

On Thursday 10th May Room 6 went to
the races. The thing that I learnt was that the horses eat grass to  keep them healthy.
We saw about four races . The best thing was about rewards and us riding horses!.
We got a magazine that is the size of a school book!. As we were going down the stairs we said bye!.
My opinion of the racecourse is about how awesome it was there. Everybody else liked going to the races too.

Shoulder Rat Hunt

On Saturday Mum, Dad, Meadow, Baylana and I went on a shoulder rat hunt. A shoulder rat, is a rat that sits on your shoulder and is easy to train. We decided to get a girl rat. So the search began, the first place we looked at was the pet shop in town . When we arrived at the pet shop there were only two mice under a newspaper. My Mum thought that was the only pet shop in Wanganu, but I heard that there was a little pet shop in Fitzherbert Ave, I've forgotten what it is called but it has cat eyes on the window. We looked inside and there were no rats there either so we decided to go
and look another time.

Westmere Walkway

Last Thursday Room 6 and Room 5 and some Room 4 kids travelled to the Westmere Walkway,
it was a  beautiful day. Our adventure started at 10 o'clock. In the first 20 minutes
my shoes started to get a little muddy and people's shoes stuck in  holes. The girls were screaming! We continued up the hill and had morning tea  We had a soft boiled egg and it was cold  and some delicious cravers. After our morning tea we carried on our fantasy, our next check point was to
get to the cows. When I saw the slope I started to get scared in case I fell down, a lot of people were slipping down the hill. A after the big scary hills we saw a herd of cows following us around the hills, then started mud mayhem again, it was worse than the time we were walking up the hill! When we reached another gate we had to climb over it. We were walking down the pathway until the cows blocked us so we had to have lunch over the fence! The teachers used some bamboo sticks to get the evil cows away then we saw big gigantic hills we could play on for 10 minutes. Then the fantasy ended everybody was soaking with mud!
